Welcome to the Dynamic Psychotherapy and Psychology Centre. We are a group of clinicians whose mission is to help you overcome your internal emotional struggles in a meaningful and effective way to get back to health so that you can live the life you deserve.

I work with adults to help them resolve concerns related to anxiety, depression, grief, medically unexplained physical symptoms, relationship difficulties, self-criticism, and trauma. I have worked with a wide range of issues and people in private practice, community, and university settings.

My approach to therapy is based largely in the psychology of human attachment, emotion, behaviour, and psychodynamic theory. While I have training in a number of therapy models, I have received extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy.  I am passionate about taking a depth psychology approach to collaborate with and get to know you as a person rather than a set of symptoms.

I completed a 3-year post-graduate core training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) with Dr. Allan Abbass and Dr. Joel Town, and a year of advanced ISTDP training with Jon Frederickson. Additionally, I engaged in 3 years of individual consultation in ISTDP with Dr. Town while working at Dr. Town’s ISTDP clinic in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as well as individual training with Dr. Allan Abbass and Dr. Steve Shapiro. I have also completed a training program in psychoanalytic theory with the Tavistock Relationships Clinic in London, UK.

As part of my focus on lifelong professional development, I continue to engage in frequent trainings and consultation.
