Assessment
Psychodiagnostic assessments can be completed by a psychologist to evaluate your functioning and/or your personality to provide a comprehensive picture of your symptom profile and evaluate whether a diagnosis is appropriate. This can help you determine areas in which you need support as well as the types of supports that could be helpful.
The assessment process involves completing an interview to obtain information about your presenting problems, the relevant history and background information. You will also be asked specific questions about your symptoms and asked to complete questionnaires to obtain more information to help form a clear understanding of your mental health condition. The number of sessions required for the assessment will depend on the complexity of your presenting concern. A psychiatric diagnosis will be made if appropriate and recommendations will be provided. At the end of the assessment, an assessment report can be generated and provided to you during a feedback session.
