Dove Gadkar, B.A. (Hons.)

Intake Coordinator

Davina Gadkar, who goes by Dove, might be your first point of contact when you connect with DPPC. She provides support with various administrative tasks such as responding to inquiries, conducting intake calls, and more. During your intake call with Dove, she will be focused on learning about your needs so that she can help match you up with a DPPC clinician who will be the best fit for you. If you have any questions about scheduling or billing, Dove will be happy to offer her assistance.

Dove is a psychotherapy student who is currently attending Yorkville University for a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Queen’s University in Psychology and Sociology. During her undergraduate career, Dove studied and worked with individuals struggling with depression, suicide ideation, childhood maltreatment, revictimization, and autism spectrum disorder. She is experienced in administering life experience interviews, as well as learning disabilities diagnostic tests. Dove values client-centered approaches with an emphasis on emotion regulation for long-term success. She has a special interest in assisting individuals with depression, anxiety, and trauma.

In July 2024, Dove will be starting a practicum at DPPC to learn to take a psychodynamic approach in her work with her clients. To further grow as a therapist, Dove hopes to aid clients with various backgrounds and needs to diversify her experiences.
